I'm still remembering last week in Great Village. The old time hymns in the old time church service over whelmed me. I felt like my grandmother and my father were singing. And smiling. In the Garden was one of my father's favourites. I heard everyone from Elvis to Johnny Cash to Carrie Underwood to Ann Murray sing their version on youtube these past few days. My Dad loved Mahalia Jackson. Me,too. So for those of you who, like me, no longer go to church and don't get to hear the old time hymns ---and if you like Gospel ----take a listen. Still Fills the Soul with Stillness.
QUESTION: What song from your faith tradition (or not) fills your soul? Lifts your spirit? Brings back memories?
