Everybody's Different On Everybody Street

"If ever you go traveling - On EveryBody Street - You'll see EveryBody's - Different - Than EveryOne you meet..." Sheree Fitch's playful words lead you into this beautiful children's book and invite you to celebrate our gifts, our weaknesses, our differences, and our sameness. Fitch displays her wit and mastery of words in quick, rollicking rhymes that are complimented by Laura Jolicoeur's lively illustrations. EveryBody's Different on EveryBody Street was produced as a fundraiser to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Festival of Trees in support of the Nova Scotia Hospital and raise awareness of mental illness and addiction.

Laura Jolicoeur is a ceramic artist living in Dartmouth. Her artwork is collected internationally in private and public collections. Her book, Moons and Mermaids, was adapted into a children's play and performed in collaboration with Mermaid.

When asked by CBC to write a song based on Sheree Fitch's book, "Everybody's Different on Everybody Street", MIKE Trask embraced the opportunity and wrote "Some of Us". MIKE and MudHill band members performed live on the CBC video produced as part of the Youth Mental Health Tool Kit developed by the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia for distribution throughout the schools in the Province. MIKE is a big supporter of youth and has performed on CTV's Children's Miracle Network Telethon in support of the IWK Children's Hospital.
